Garage Fan (Health & Safety Issues)

Noise, Failing Infrastructure, Carbon Monoxide

(take a look for yourself)

The above video was recorded on March 30,2013 of our underground garage ventilation system.  It shows obvious signs of failure and fatigue after 40 years of use.  The fan on the left is no longer in service as it is in much worse condition.

A recent work order dated March 5,2013 resulted in a temporary repair and reduction in noise.  This was short lived and now obvious that a professional repair and replacement is required.  This situation is extremely urgent in order to satisfy all municipal and fire code requirements, as well as our own health and safety concerns.  The closing of the west end parking lots has increased greatly the number of vehicles and carbon monoxide levels in the garage.  The loud noise emitting from the fan blades contacting the metal shroud is affecting my sleep and quality of living here. With the warmer weather approaching it will soon affect many others enjoyment on our balcony's and disturb our sleep with bedroom windows opening.

It is time for a permanent resolve to this issue as we can no longer continue the extended harm to our health and safety, or even further loss of our parking availability.  I will update this post in the near future as pertaining to a resolution, or recourse of action.
